Gabriel had his Kindergarden Readiness Test Today!

It was on letters, numbers, shapes, colors etc., all of which he knows by heart in English and Spanish.

He got a Big Fat Zero.

On the bottom the teacher wrote "He said he didn't know and refused to answer."

Which is of course Gabriel's standard response to any questions asked by anyone other than close friends or family. I gotta teach him to plead the fifth or something...

North Cactus Copper Bowl Results

Heat Wave 13, Gladiators 7 .
We played our final football game of the season today. It was an exciting game to say the least. The Gladiators were ahead until around 2 1/2 minutes left in the game. they had scored a touchdown along with the extra point and we had scored a touchdown but had failed to convert the extra point late in the first half. So the score for the majority of the game was 7-6, Gladiators on top. Isaiah was a terror all day, noone they put in front of him could stop him, he was a major disruption to their offense. He also was moved to center to block their number one defensive player, who had been terrorizing us in the first half. Isaiah managed to put a stop to their defensive player and we scored the winning touchdown at the end of the game.
3 wins in a row since I got benched as a defensive signall caller :) We managed to beat 3 opponents a total of 43-6 during the span I road the pine.

Gabriel got two happy faces this week!

They weren't superduper happy but they were happy. I'm soooo proud.

Also, Christine got in a fender-bender this week with a 6 foot 5 guy driving an Escalade.

He got all argumentative with her but in the end she made him sign a piece a paper acknowledging fault, which was great because it was his fault but he could have probably gotten away with it if he contested it. She also got a witness to sign it. I'm proud of her too.

She said she learned the "way of the weasel" from me after I made some kid that hit me sign a written acknowledgement of fault under penalty of perjury.
